To take the Practical Driving Test you must hold a Provisional Driving Licence and have already passed your Theory Test.The Practical Test may have an extended wait time of around 4-10 weeks. On completion of a successful mock test, your driving instructor will book a driving test with you. After passing your test you will usually receive your full UK Driving License within three weeks.
Provided your car is legal (has a valid MOT and Road Tax), you can insure your own vehicle the same day as passing your test using your pass certificate number whilst you await your license in the post.
